VETERINARY WORK EXPERIENCE

 

1996 - 1999       Voluntary student at the Veterinary Clinic Department – Surgical Section –                              University of Bologna.

 

1999 - 2001       Two years of Internship at the Veterinary Clinic Department - Surgical Section - University of Bologna.

 

2001- 2004       Italian PhD in: “Diagnostic Imaging and Veterinary Endoscopic Surgery”.

 

2003                 Externship at Soft Tissue Surgery of Veterinary Teaching Hospital of Colorado State University during September and October 2003. During this period he had increased his knowledge on laparoscopy and thoracoscopy under the supervision of prof. Eric Monnet.

 

2005 and 2007 Externshipat the Surgery Department of Veterinary Teaching Hospital at the Complutense University of Madrid from February to May 2005 and in March 2007(under the guidance of prof. Maria Mercedes Sanchez de la Muela and Prof. Paloma Maria Garcia Fernandez).

During this period he had taken part in the surgical rounds and activities, deepening his study on treatment of abdominal hernias in dogs, investigating a new technique for the treatment of perineal hernia. Morevoer, in 2007 in Madrid he has attended a course of application of stents for the treatment of tracheal and urethral stenosis with dr. Chick Weisse as relator.

 

2004-2006      Fellowshipon “Vascular and Cardiac surgery in Veterinary Medicine” at the Veterinary Clinic Department- Surgery Section - University of Bologna (from April 2004 to March 2006) (Tutor Prof. Mario Fedrigo).

 

 

2009                  Externship at Veterinary Clinic Hospital of Las Palmas University (Spain), February 2009.

During this period he had taken part in the surgical rounds and activities, deepening his studies on gait analisys in dogs under the supervision of prof. Jose Manuel Vilar Guereno

 

 

2003-2006         Assistant Surgeon in Veterinary Teaching Hospital of Bologna University for emergency and critical care management (from October 2003 to March 2006)

Scientific publications: Author and Co-author of several publications in Ranked Journal with Impact Factors .
