From 2012 to 2017: Postdoctoral Researcher at the Media Integration and Communication Center (MICC), University of Florence.
Teaching
Since 2020 he teaches Data Analytics in the master degree of computer science.
Since 2019 he teaches Programming in the bachelor degree of computer science.
In 2019 he taught Computer Science in the bachelor degree in mathematics, while in 2020 he taught Programming in the bachelor degree of Genomics.
From 2017 to 2018 he taught Object Oriented Programming in the bachelor degree on computer engineering at the University of Pavia.
Research activity
He co-authored 39 papers in the most prestigious journals and conferences in computer vision, multimedia analysis, pattern recognition and machine learning.
He participated to the organisation of international workshops and tutorials at conferences of international relevance. He has also been part of the program committee of several conferences and workshops of international relevance.
He is involved in research collaborations with other research centers, both national and international and He has actively been participating in various roles in several research projects and a number of industry-funded projects.
Academic activity
From 2020 he is a faculty member of the international PhD in “Computer Science and Engineering”, University of Bologna.
In 2018 he was a faculty member of the international PhD in “Computational Mathematics and Decision Sciences”, University of Pavia and Università della Svizzera Italiana.
Honors, Awards and Scholarships
In 2017 he received the best paper award at the IEEE Computer Society Workshop on Biometrics.
In 2017 he received the Young Researcher Support Grant for the IEEE International Conference on Computer Vision (ICCV).
