Giovanni Tallini

Giovanni Tallini, MD. Professor of Pathology at the University of Bologna School of Medicine (since 2002). Pathology attending and Director of the Solid Tumor Molecular Pathology Laboratory, IRCCS Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria di Bologna. Professional training in Italy and in the US (Yale University, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center; Board Certified in Anatomic Pathology and Molecular Genetic Pathology). Research interests focus on surgical pathology, tumor development and progression, molecular analysis of solid tumors, cancer epidemiology. Specific fields: thyroid and endocrine pathology, oncologic neuropathology, soft tissue tumors, diagnostic molecular pathology. Dr. Tallini authored more than 250 scientific articles (PUBMED) and is actively involved in national and international collaborative projects.
