Reaarches conducted by dr. Allegro:

  • Genetic improvement of rootstock and Vitis vinifera cultivars;
  • Evaluation of new Vitis vinifera clones and new resistant hybrids;
  • Study of vine physiology, in particular of ripening processes in environmental conditions characterized by thermal and radiative stress;
  • Study of the adaptability of grapevine cultivation in the current scenario of climate change;
  • Study of cultural techniques aimed to ameliorate grape composition and sanitary status of cluster, in non-limiting environmental conditions;
  • Study of the cultural techniques aimed to couple technological and phenolic maturity, under thermal and radiative stress;
  • Study of the phenolic maturity in the last phases of berry ripening and its influence on wine mouthfeel;
  • Impact of the mechanization of main cultural techniques on vine yield and grape composition.
