Born in Ferrara on November 1949, he carried out the secondary
school at Industrial Technical Institute in Ferrara. In December
1976 he graduated in Agriculture Sciences with a thesis in
the field of Food Technology.
From 1977 to 1979 he had a contract of the Consiglio Nazionale
delle Ricerche. From August 1980 he is working at the university as
researcher to the Agriculture Faculty of the University of
Bologna.
In 1982 he achieved the diploma of improvement of the "School for
the industry of the Sugar and the Alcole" at the University of
Ferrara.
From 1983 to 2005 he has been part of the Department of Protezione e Valorizzazione
Agro-Alimentare, Section of Chemistry and Food Technology,
doing researches on the field of Food Technology.
From 1992 he held the courses of Food Technology, Food Legislation,
Technology of Cereals and Derivatives and Processing of Chilled and
Frozen Foods at the Faculty of Agriculture and of Food Processing
at the Faculty of Engineering of the Bologna University. Currently
he holds the courses of Technology of Cereals and Derivatives near
the Faculty of Agriculture, and of Food Processing of the Faculty
of Engineering of the Bologna University.
He carried out own activity of didactics and research to the
Department of Food Science, Campus of Food Sciences in Cesena, of
the Faculty of Agriculture of the Bologna University.
He has been chairman of numerous degree theses.
He is author or co-author of around 70 publications, published on
national and international journal, or introduction to conferences
and congresses.
