ACADEMIC ACTIVITY

  • 2023 - ongoing: PhD Student, XXXIXth Cycle in Veterinary Sciences at BSBT-FTCA Service, DIMEVET - Department of Veterinary Medical Sciences, Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna. Project title: Contribution to the development of food safety guidelines and regulations on undesirable chemicals in insect products. Supervisor: Prof. Giampiero Pagliuca. Co-Supervisor: Prof. Teresa Gazzotti.

ACADEMIC TRAINING

  •  2020 - 2023: Master's degree in Animal Production Safety and Quality (Class LM-86 Animal Science and Technology), Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna. Degree thesis: Determination by UPLC-MS/MS of β-lactam antibiotics in milk intended for cheese-making. Graduated with grade: 110 out of 110 cum laude.
  • 2016 - 2020: Bachelor's degree in Safety of Livestock Productions and Valorisation of Typical Foodstuffs of Animal Origin (Class L-38 Livestock Sciences and Animal Production Technologies), University of Camerino. Degree thesis: Welfare of heavy pigs at slaughter and meat quality. Graduated with grade: 108 out of 110.

CURRICULAR INTERNSHIP

  • 09/2022 - 12/2022: Internship at the CABA-lab service, DIMEVET - Department of Veterinary Medical Sciences. Activity: development of instrumental analytical methods (UPLC-MS/MS) for the detection and quantification of residues and contaminants in products of animal origin such as antibiotics (β-lactams) in milk and serum and pesticides (glyphosate and similar) in honey.

  •  05/2023 - 10/2023: Occasional Visitor at the CABA-FTCA service, DIMEVET - Department of Veterinary Medical Sciences. Activity: in-depth study of analytical techniques used in the field of food safety.
