Short Bio

A Full Professor since 2006, she is the author of more than ten monographs and many essays published in Italian and foreign journals, also in other languages. She organized and gave lectures in both national and international Conferences, she is a member of the most important associations in her field and she was elected to the Boards of Directors. She’s been in charge of research projects. She teaches in Master’s and Post-graduate programs. In 2005 she was appointed by the Italian Bishops’ Conference as a member of the Bilateral Commission in charge of arranging the accords for the implementation of the 1984 Agreement between the Holy See and Italy. She is Editor of the Class A journal Archivio giuridico Filippo Serafini and of the series Un’anima per il diritto: andare più in alto, as well as a member of the Scientific Board of other journals. She is a member of the Academic Board of the PhD Program in Legal Studies and of the University of Bologna Research Evaluation Committee, often working in such field (evaluation of PRIN and other projects, GEV-ANVUR). She’s been a Consultor of the Pontifical Council for Legislative Texts since 2011.

Office hours

In Bologna, Professor Geraldina Boni ordinarily receives students on Tuesdays at 3 PM in the Department of Legal Studies in Via Zamboni n. 27/29.

In Ravenna, she receives students on Mondays at 2 PM in the School of Law in Via Oberdan n. 1.

Upon students’ request, office hours can be held online (via Microsoft Teams). Those who are interested are asked to contact the Professor via email ( in order to schedule a meeting.
