Professor of Organizational Behavior and Delegate for Teaching at the Department of Management (DiSA), Member of the Expert Panel for University Research Evaluation (Unibo), and Associate Dean for Faculty & Research at Bologna Business School (BBS). He is also a member of the International Network on Technology, Work, and Family (INTWAF) at the Université du Québec à Montréal (Canada). Gabriele Morandin has been Dean of the School of Economics and Management of the University of Bologna (2023-2024), Visiting Professor at Kedge Business School (France, 2022) and at the Suliman S. Olayan School of Business of the American University of Beirut (Lebanon, 2024).
He received the Ph.D in Management in 2005 at the University of Bologna and he has been
Visiting Scholar and Research Assistant from 2004 to 2006 at the Ross School of
Business of the University of Michigan (MI, USA). In 2015 he gained the 'Certification for 360-degree Assessments' from the Center for Creative Leadership (NC, USA).
He studies leadership and its interconnections with work and non work domains, as well as with information and communication technologies. His publications appeared among others on the Academy of Management Annals, Harvard Business Review, Human Resource Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology and MIT Sloan Management Review. He sits on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Vocational Behavior. He gained national and international awards for research and teaching.
He has collaborated and collaborates with companies and other institutions on innovation and people management - e.g., Angelini Pharma, Carraro Group, Coesia, Enel, Faac Technologies, Ferrarelle, Ferrari, Ferretti Group, Lamborghini, Maserati, Stellantis (Fiat), and UniCredit.
