Research Interest
Francesco Paolucci is co-author of more than 220 publications in peer-reviewed International Journals and chapters in books (H-index: 54-Scopus/WOS).
His interest focuses on various themes of molecular, supramolecular and materials electrochemistry, on the electrochemistry of carbon nanostructures, fullerenes, carbon nanotubes and graphene and their exploitation in energy-related applications, for the development of novel diagnostic tools for cancer and heart diseases and the setup of new electroanalytical procedures for the detection of biomarkers and toxins. He has several scientific collaborations with academic research groups in Italy, Europe, North America, Japan and with Industrial Partners.

Francesco Paolucci maintains strong collaborative links with several Institutes of Italian National Research Council CNR, other Research Centres in Italy (National Nanotechnology Lab-Lecce, SISSA-ELETTRA NanoInnovation Lab, SISSA-ISAS, Sincrotrone Trieste SCpA, European Institute of Oncology) and abroad (CRPP-CNRS Bordeaux, CMD-CNRS Orléans, IBMC-CNRS Strasbourg), with Academic Institutions in Italy (Center of Excellence for Nanostructured Materials-CENMAT, University of Trieste, University of Padua, University of Lecce, University of Modena and Reggio), and abroad (University of Strasbourg, University of Edinburgh, University of Amsterdam, University of Dublin, University of Aarhus, POLYMAT-Spain, Boston College-USA). Furthermore, his research network has long included important collaborations, through research contracts and/or consulting agreements, with major Companies, including Pirelli Labs, Olivetti I-jet, STMicroelectronics, Roche Diagnostics, and with start-ups (Congenia, a biotech Company in Milan, Cyanagen – Bologna and Ulisse Biomed - Udine).
