Curriculum vitae

Francesco Paolucci is co-author of more than 240 publications in peer-reviewed International Journals and chapters in books (>11000 citations, H-index: 59-Scopus/WOS; >13000 citations, H-index: 63-Google Scholar).
His interest focuses on various themes of molecular, supramolecular and materials electrochemistry, on the electrochemistry of carbon nanostructures and their exploitation in energy-related applications, for the development of novel diagnostic tools and new electroanalytical procedures for the detection of biomarkers and toxins, especially based on electrochemiluminescence. He has several scientific collaborations with academic research groups in Italy, Europe, North America, Japan and with Industrial Partners.

  • Francesco Paolucci has been mentor, supervisor and collaborator with 16 PhD students (1 student en-cotutelle with the University of Bordeaux and 2 in collaboration with the Industry), over 30 MSc and BSc students, over 12 postdoctoral associates, and numerous visiting scientists. Various former students and co-workers are now holding Faculty positions in Italy or abroad.

Dissemination of Science and Student Orientation

  • Since 2001, FP has taken part in several activities aimed at popularizing and promoting chemistry to the general public, including seminars in various Academic and Cultural Institutions: Universities of Bologna and Milan and Accademia dei Lincei (Rome), TEDx.
  • From 2008 to 2012, he participated in the University Orientation Courses organized by the Scuola Normale Superiore (Pisa).
