My research is in experimental electrochemistry and materials
chemistry. My interests include redox properties and
electrochemically-induced reactions involving metal complexes,
mechanically-interlocked systems, carbon nanostructures
(fullerenes, carbon nanotubes and graphene), biologically-active
molecular systems. Most recently, my research expanded to the
fields of electrochemiluminescence and scanning probe
electrochemical microscopy with particular attention to micro and
nanopatterning and the development of novel electroanalytical tools
for the investigation of biological processes in vitro and in
living species and of technologically relevant electrochemical
systems.
