Francesco Mazzucchelli is Senior Assistant Professor (tenured) in the Department of Philosophy and Communication of University of Bologna. After receiving his PhD in Semiotics (University of Bologna, 2009), he has been a Post-Doc Research Fellow (University of Bologna, Department of Philosophy and Communication) and Adjunct Professor (University of Bologna, Department of Architecture, BA in Industrial Design). He has been awarded research fellowships at several Universities/Institutes, where he has spent research periods: NIAS, UvA University of Amsterdam, VU Amsterdam, University of Manchester, Université de Limoges, Fondation Maison Sciences de l'Homme.
He is researcher at CUE, the International Center for Advanced Studies in the Humanities “Umberto Eco” and scientific secretary of TraMe, a center for the interdisciplinary study of cultural memory and traumas.
On 6/8/2018, he received the National Scientific Qualification for the role of Associate Professor in Aesthetics and Philosophy of Language.
