[SEMIOTICS OF CULTURAL HERITAGE] Lesson 19 February h 15
Tomorrow’s lecture (Thursday, February 19) will not take place at 9:00 AM, but at 3:00 PM in Via Centotrecento 18, Room C.
Please make sure to arrive on time, as we will most likely begin without the usual academic quarter-hour delay.
This will be a joint lecture with Tallinn University, organized within the framework of the course “Digital Cultural Heritage: Memory, Archives and Storytelling in the Digital Age”, promoted by the DIGHT-net project [https://virtuale.unibo.it/mod/url/view.php?id=2288662] (further information is available here https://dight-net.tlu.ee/course-announcement-digital-cultural-heritage-memory-archives-and-storytelling-in-the-digital-age/ ).
The lecture will be structured in three parts:

In the first part, Professor Daniele Monticelli will introduce Lotman and the model of the semiosphere.

In the second part, I will present Umberto Eco’s model of the Encyclopedia.

The final thirty minutes will be devoted to a joint discussion between the two classes, with students in Bologna attending in person and students in Tallinn connected remotely.
