Francesco Lo Franco received the master's degree (cum laude) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Bologna in 2019. In 2023, he discussed the thesis "Power Flow Forecasting and Smart Charging for Electric Vehicle Charging Systems with Photovoltaic Integration" receiveing the Ph.D. degree in "Automotive Engineering for Intelligent Mobility" at the Department of Electrical Electronic and Information Engineering (University of Bologna).
From 2023 to 2025, he was an Assistant Professor (RTDA) at the same Department, conducting research on electric mobility, photovoltaic systems, stationary energy storage, and optimization methods for energy systems, with a focus on energy management systems and smart charging techniques.
He is currently the Head of the Smart Energy & Innovation Business Unit at SYNIERGY s.r.l., where he is responsible for the development and promotion of innovative solutions in the fields of photovoltaic systems and energy storage.
