Contemporary Ages, focusing in particulary on the institutional
changes of and political devices for governing fear in the
Baroque Period.
Political and philosophical thoughts of Montaigne, Hobbes and
Spinoza are compared with some contemporary theories about
governing fear in the global era (Bauman, Simon, Furedi, Zolo), in
order to compare different models of political powers and theories
concerning crisis.
