At present he is Associate Professor of History of Philosophy (11 C5/ M-FIL 06) at the Department of Philosophy and Communication of the University of Bologna where he was Senior Researcher from 2014 to 2017.
In 2012 Francesco Cerrato Has been Research Assistant at the
Department of Politics, Institutions, History of the Alma
Mater Studiorum University of Bologna.
In the academic years 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 he taught Dottrine politiche for the degree corse in Political and International Science in Forlì.
From 2010 to 2012 he held a tutorship for the students of
"History of Political Thought" at the Faculty of Political Science
“Roberto Ruffilli” (University of Bologna - Forlì).
From January 2008 to June 2009 he was Research Assistant at the
Department of Philosophy at the University of Bologna, working on a
project financed by the University of Bologna: "Governare la
Paura". Dal moderno dominio delle passioni alle politiche di
sicurezza e alla gestione del rischio nell'era globale". He got his
Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Bologna in 2005. In 2001
he took his B.A. in Philosophy at the same University.
He is Journal Manager of the "Governare la paura. Journal of
Interdisciplinary Studies" and member of the editorial committee of
"Dianoia. Rivista del Dipartimento di Filosofia dell'Università di
Bologna". He is associated member of the international network
Europhilosophie.
