Francesco Casadei is currently a PhD student in Health and Technology, at the Department of Medical and Surgical Sciences of the University of Bologna. He also holds the position of Health Researcher at the IRCCS – Institute of Neurological Sciences of Bologna.
He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Physics in 2019 and his Master's degree in Physics, with a specialization in Applied Physics, in 2021, both from the University of Bologna.
His research interests focus on the study and implementation of Federated Learning models applied to oncohematological diseases within the context of the European projects GenoMed4All, Synthema and Synthia. Additionally, he is involved in the study and analysis of data generated through nanopore sequencing from patients with repeat expansion diseases (including DM1, SCA, and ALS).
