She is an associate professor at the University of Bologna, her research interests concern several topics related to human nutrition and nutritional biochemistry, with particular reference to the food bioactives and their health effects. She has been in charge of the coordination of a project funded under the Programme 'Scientific Independence of young Researchers' (SIR) of the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research.
