Associate professor at the University of Bologna, she conducts research in the field of Methodologies for Archaeological Research. Her work is based on the use of non-invasive investigation methods (geophysics, remote and proximal sensing) for archaeological interpretation and historical reconstruction of ancient contexts. Her interests include preventive archaeology and landscape archaeology, with a particular focus on the diachronic reconstruction of settlement and environmental systems through the coordinated use of archaeological and topographical data. She directs the excavations of the Contrada Nevola Necropolis in Corinaldo (ArcheoNevola Project), exploring topics related to funerary archaeology, the memory of places and the relationship between diagnostics and stratigraphic excavation. She has coordinated Erasmus Intensive Programme and Interreg projects and is involved in numerous national and international research programmes. She is a member of the Doctoral College in Historical and Archaeological Sciences, co-head of the Tolomeo Laboratory, a member of the scientific committee of GROMA and the editorial committee of OCNUS.
