• Synthesis of electrochemiluminescent (ECL) systems: based on dye doped silica nanoparticles.
• Luminescent silica nanoparticles doped with organic fluorophores. Relationship between structure and photophysical properties.
• Synthesis of core-shell Fe3O4@SiO2 nanoparticles.
• Self-organized Fluorescent Chemosensors for metal ions based on silica nanoparticles: synthesis of amino-amido ligands for metal ions and of alkoxysilane derivatized organic fluorophores for the development of self-organized chemosensors.
• Synthesis of metallic nanoparticles and of luminescent core-shell / Ag-silica dye doped nanoparticles. Exploitation of MEF (Metal Enhanced Fluorescence) for the development of nano-hybrid systems with strong fluorescent emission and increased photostability.
• Synthesis of electrochemiluminescent (ECL) systems: based on self assembled monoloyers.
• Study of host-guest self-assembly processes with di-topic cavitands by static (SLS) and dynamic light scattering (DLS).
• Synthesis and characterization of Zn(II) and Cu(II) complexes based on the all cis-1,3,5-triamino-2,4,6-trihydroxycicloexane. Catalytic behaviour in the hydrolysis reaction of model phosphoric esters and plasmidic DNA. • Self-organized fluorescent chemosensors for metal ions based on micellar co-aggregates.
