Enrico graduated cum laude as an architect at the “Aldo Rossi” Faculty of Architecture of the University of Bologna in 2006 (Master degree in Urban design: “ Cesena e il Savio: un nuovo paesaggio lungo le sponde del fiume”, directed by Pr. Guido Ronzani). He attended his PhD studies at the Department of Architecture and Planning (DAPT) of the University of Bologna from 2007 to 2010 (Doctoral research: “La via Emilia tra Rimini e Forlì. Ruolo e immagine della strada”, directed by Valentina Orioli).
In 2007-2011 he has collaborated as a tutor, in some courses (Urban Design and Planning) at the Faculty of Architecture “Aldo Rossi”. At the same time he has collaborated to many research about streets and public spaces, directed by Pr. Gianni Braghieri, Valter Balducci and Valentina Orioli.
In 2008 he obtained a research grant related to the inventory and the classification of the tourist facilities in the territory of Cesenatico, as a contribution to the new Strategic Urban Development Plan (“Piano Strutturale Comunale”, PSC).
Since 2010 he participates as a designer in numerous architectural competitions.
In 2010 wins together with Federica Dalmonte e Emanuele Dari the 1st prize in the international competition for the redevelopment of “Piazza Martiri” and the construction of a new building in Portoscuso (CI).
In 2010-2012 he has had a two-years research grant at the Department of Architecture and Planning (DAPT) of the University of Bologna (“Abitare il territorio della Romagna: strade, insediamenti e spazi pubblici fra Rimini e Forlì”, directed by Valentina Orioli).
In 2013-2014 he has had a research grant at the Department of Architecture and Planning (DAPT) of the University of Bologna (“Urbano/Rurale. Paesaggi di transizione in Romagna”, directed by Valentina Orioli).
In 2011-2015 he is professor of “Town Planning Technics” at the Department of Architecture of the University of Bologna.
Since 2014 he is professor of “Urban design” at the Department of Architecture of the University of Bologna.
In 2015-2016 he is professor of “Town Planning Elements” at the Department of Architecture of the University of Bologna.
In 2016-17 he collaborates in the construction and implementation of the "Observatory on metropolitan cities", as part of the agreement between CRIFSP-SPISA and Urban @ it; Profile: Town planning and urban design processes and related background (tutor: Prof. V. Orioli).
Since 2017 he is member of the Bagno di Romagna CQAP (Commission for the architectural and landscape quality).
