Main research topics:

  1. reconstruction of the population dynamics of human communities due to isolation, mobility and migration;
  2. reconstruction of eating habits, age and cause of death, sex and possible kinship in human communities of the past;
  3. contribution to the diagnosis and study of the spread of infectious and genetic diseases in ancient human remains, and inferences about the health conditions of human communities of the past;
  4. analysis of animal remains for the identification and distribution of species, their evolutionary history and the exploitation/impact from humans in the past, with specific regard to the domestication of the dog.
