New series of Eurostat webinars for young statisticians
The new series of Eurostat webinars for young statisticians open to EMOS https://cros.ec.europa.eu/book-page/webinars-20252026 will be kicked off soon. This webinar series is organised as part of the European Statistical Training Programme https://cros.ec.europa.eu/dashboard/estp-dashboard and is entitled Selected Webinars for Young Statisticians. It includes six webinars, each lasting two hours.

The six sessions will take place as follows:
- How to gather and evaluate user needs in official statistics (Sascha Oliver Rusch, Independent expert), 18 March 2026 (15:00 - 17:00)
- Machine Learning for Official Statistics: Overview of machine learning techniques and their applications in official statistics, including classification, clustering, and predictive modelling (Ahmet Emin Tatar, University Groningen), 31 March 2026 (15:00 - 17:00)
- JDemetra basics (Anna Smyk, Independent expert), 16 April 2026 (15:00 - 17:00)
- Geospatial Analysis: Introduction to geospatial analysis techniques for analysing and visualizing spatial data in official statistics (Miroslaw Migacz, Independent expert and Amelia Wardzinska-Sharif, Independent expert), 7 May 2026 (15:00 - 17:00)
- Privacy Enhancing Technologies for Official Statistics (Dr. Peter-Paul de Wolf, CBS Netherlands), 20th May 2026 (14:00 - 16:00)
- Integrating data from multiple sources - used methods and tools (Ton de Waal, CBS Netherlands and Arnout van Delden, CBS Netherlands), 4 June 2026 (14:00 - 16:00)
