Elisabetta De Angelis receives her Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering (cum Laude) in 1997 at
University of Rome La Sapienza where in 2001 she receives her PhD
Degree in Meccanica Teorica e Applicata with a thesis "The
influence of polymer additives on the structure of wall turbulence"
. Since 2001 she starts a collaboration with the Fluid Dynamics
group at the Department of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering
of La Sapienza with a Research Fellowship. Moreover she is a
Research Assistant at the ETH Zuerich between 2001 and 2003. Her
scientific activity deals with numerical simulation and data
analysis in fluid mechanics, namely turbulence in rheologically
complex fluids and statistical analysis of wall turbulence. She has
permanent collaborations with ETH Zuerich, the Weizmann Institute
of Science and Chinese University of Hong-Kong. Since 2004 she
teaches Computational Fluid Dynamics at the Second School of
Engineering of University of Bologna and since 2006 Numerical Fluid
Dynamics at the Biomedical Campus in Rome. She is currently
involved in the CICLoPE (Centre for International Cooperation in
Long Pipe Experiments) project as responsible for the Computational
group. At the end of 2011 she becames Associate Professor in
Fluid Dynamics and in february 2014 she obtains the National
Scientific Qualification as Full Professor in Fluid Dynamics. From 2015 to 2018 she worked as Senior Lecturer at Cardiff University (UK)
