Description:: This project aims at studying a very challenging and relevant topic, both from a biomedical and a social perspective, namely characterizing the process of ageing in humans and the implications on age-related diseases. It combines sophisticated approaches coming from Bioinformatics, Biophysics and Network Theory (comprised under the Systems Biology) to elaborate high-throughput omics data (i.e. gene expression, metabolic and proteomic data) with a multi-level and holistic perspective.
