Scientific affiliations

2023 - to date Co-head of research for studies in the area of the ancient city of Atella in the municipality of S. Arpino (CE), focusing on the thermal baths of the city and the urban layout, in collaboration with the PI Prof. R. Brancato, Federico II University of Naples.

2023 - to date Co-head of research for studies of the Temple of Olympian Zeus also known as Olympeion, in the municipality of Syracuse, in collaboration with the PI Prof. R. Brancato, Federico II University of Naples

2022 - to date Member of the research project “The Roman Aqueduct of Catania, for the urban and peri-urban section”, as responsible for the architectural study of the aqueduct and the connected public monumental complexes. The project, led by Prof. R. Brancato (Federico II University of Naples) is currently under agreement with the municipalities of Catania and Misterbianco (CT).

2022 - to date Member of the EU funded project “ARCHLabs. Archaeological heritage in Late Antique and Byzantine Sicily” (Erasmus Plus, Blended Intensive Programme), International Summer School at the Villa del Casale of Piazza Armerina, with excavation activity, documentation of materials, 3D modelling, 3D surveys, aerophotogrammetry, digital archiving. Institutions involved: CNR, ISPC; I.LS. I. Baldini, C. Sfameni, P. Barresi (see above ARCHLabs project). 2018 - to date Member of the Tunisian-Italian mission to study the Roman theatre of Althiburos, funded by University of Palermo and Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Responsible for the project are the professors: G. Montali (University of Palermo), N. Kallala (University of Tunis). The mission is hosted at the “Maison des fouilles” of the Institut National du Patrimoine in Althiburos. Role: analysis of stone materials; ancient building site analysis; survey of structures, 3D reconstruction of structures.

2016 - to date Member of the archaeological mission in Gortyn, Crete, Mitropolis Basilica (University of Bologna, Italian Archaeological School in Athens, Ephorate for Byzantine Antiquities, Crete), funded by University of Bologna and Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, https://site.unibo.it/mitropolis-unibo/it . Research activity co-financed with a contribution from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 2011 - to date Member of the archaeological excavation of the structures in Trench XII, located north of the Praetorium of Gortyn, on the block of the Nymphaeum. 2016 - 2018 Member of the archaeological mission in Kos, St. Stephan ecclesiastical complex (University of Bologna, Ephorate for Byzantine Antiquities of Dodecanese), funded by University of Bologna and Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, https://site.unibo.it/kos-unibo/it . Role: supervision and coordination of survey activities; analysis of stone materials; ancient building site analysis; survey of structures, 3D reconstruction of structures.

2012 - 2014 Member of the archaeological mission for the study and survey of the structures and fragments in the area known as the Iseion, directed by Professors G. Rocco, M. Livadiotti (Polytechnic University of Bari), and L. M. Caliò (University of Catania), in collaboration with the Archaeological and Landscape Park of the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento. Role: survey of structures, responsible for the catalogue of architectural fragments.
