Contract lecturer at the University of Bologna, she focuses in particular on the relationship between history and memory, public history, gender history, and the teaching of contemporary history. For many years she has studied issues related to the massacres that struck Italy—and Bologna in particular—during the 1970s and 1980s, analyzing the response of the city and the country, the trials, communication, and the development of a collective, public, and cultural memory, situating them within the broader history of the 1970s.
