I am a PhD student in Data Science and Computation at the University of Bologna (Italy) since November 2024, where my research focuses on bioinformatics and computational genomics, with particular interest in the analysis of genomic data and gene prioritization in the context of human diseases.
I obtained my Master’s degree in Bioinformatics from the University of Bologna with full marks and honors (110/110 cum laude) with a thesis on Neurodevelopmental disorders, developing a background in computational biology, data analysis, and programming. I previously completed a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.
During my PhD, I work on the development and application of bioinformatics pipelines for the analysis of genomic variants, combining data integration and functional analysis approaches. I collaborate with the Computational Genomics Unit at Sant’Orsola-Malpighi Hospital, contributing to the development of bioinformatics tools for the filtering and prioritization of genomic variants in a clinical context.
