Head of the Equine Clinical Service of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital “G. Gentile” of the DIMEVET, University of Bologna from January 2015 to April 2024.
She is the founder and head (from 2001 to 2020) of the Equine Perinatology Unit Stefano Belluzzi where many critical neonatal foals and mares with high-risk pregnancy are hospitalized every year, with good survival rates.
She carries out her researches in the field of veterinary perinatology, in particular: pathophysiology of perinatal period, placental function, perinatal asphyxia syndrome, sepsis and neonatal intensive care in foals.
