Short Bio

Bruno Riccio (Laurea Politics Bologna; MA DPhil Social Anthropology Sussex) is Associate Professor of Cultural Anthropology and the director of the recearch center MODI (Mobility Diversity social Inclusion) at the Department of Education of the University of Bologna. He teaches Cultural Anthropology and Anthropology of Migration within the School of Psychology and Education of the same University. In 2014-2015 he was visitng Professor at the URMIS (Unité de Recherches Migrations et Société), Université de Paris 7 Diderot. He is co-founder and president of the Italian Society for Applied Anthropology (SIAA) and co-editor the series "migrazioni" edited by CISU. Since 2014 he belongs to the teaching board of the doctoral programme in Cultural and Social Anthropology at the University of Milan "Bicocca". His research interests include West African transnational migration, co-development, citizenship, mobility, diversity, Italian multiculturalism and racism.
