Keywords: Anglo-American foreign policy Middle East Africa American relations towards USSR and China Oil questions Environment and Arctic governance

My research used to be focused on the Anglo-Saxon Powers' relations towards the Middle East, first in the 1950s, then during the Nixon/Kissinger era, especially as far as the oil revolution was concerned.

Afterwards, I worked on the last stage of the decolonisation in Southern Africa and the relations with minority regimes in South Africa, Angola and Rhodesia-Zimbabwe.

Finally, I have been lately studying the beginning of the Chinese opening up to market economy and the Atlantic governments' relating reactions.

In addition, I have just opened another field of research on environmental questions and the relations among great powers in the Arctic region.
