Education

University of Leiden - Aug 2017 - Oct 2019. Research Master in History - Specialisation Colonial and Global History - Thesis Grade: 9

  • The topic of my master thesis is Abraham Rogerius’s Open Deure (Leiden 1651), specifically an analysis of the work's footnotes by an anonymous antiquarian annotator. The thesis combines aspects of global and entangled history with micro-historical philological research, showcasing the importance of the annotations for the work as a whole.

University of Bern- 2012 - 2016. BA in History - insigni cum laude

  • History with a minor in political science. I wrote my bachelor thesis on the writings of Peter Ochs, a politician and historian of the late Enlightenment period who was heavily involved in the formation of the Helvetic Republic. Conceived as a study in intellectual history, I illustrate the changes in political thought in this key political figure through discourse analysis.
