PhD Candidate in Global Histories, Politics and Cultures at the University of Bologna. My research (provisional title of the thesis: Searching for Truth in Ancient India. European Understandings and Conceptualisations of Ancient Indian Wisdom, 1650-1850) focusses on the pluriform ways in which Europeans engaged with the religious traditions of India and how scholars conceived, used and integrated ancient Indian wisdom and understandings of Hinduism into their conceptions of (universal) religion and Christianity.
