Associate Professor at the University of Bologna since 2024, she carries out her research in the molecular biology of aging, nutrition and inflammation. Research interests are particularly focused on the role of nutrition as an anti-inflammatory strategy to promote healthy aging and longevity. Currently she focuses her research on the theme of the Mediterranean Diet, suitably adapted to the needs of over 65s, as a strategy to reduce metabolic risk and inflammaging.She collaborates as editor in one of the most prestigious journals in the field of aging research: Aging Research Reviews. Engaged in national and international research projects, she collaborates with various European institutes. Author of numerous publications in international peer-reviewed journals.
