  • From July 1987 to November 1987: after receiving a scientific high school diploma, he carried out research in the microbiological laboratory of Christian Hansen (Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA; https://www.chr-hansen.com/en/contact/us-milwaukee)
  • From October 1997 to September 1998: he carried out agro-zootechnical activity at the “La Ringhiera” farm (150 lactating cows, Bentivoglio, BO) during the practical application internship required by the Faculty’s educational system
  • 21 October 1998: Degree in Agricultural Sciences (Animal Husbandry) from Catholic University of Milan, defending an experimental thesis entitled “The influence of mechanical stimulation of the tail on the quantitative/qualitative production of milk”; Advisor: Prof. Francesco Masoero
  • From November 1998 to April 1999: he participated in the optimization of quality certification according to the HACCP System (UNI EN ISO 9001) of the “Puianello” cheese factory of the Ferrarini Group of Reggio Emilia (https://www.ferrarini.com/parmigiano-reggiano-dop)
  • From May 1999 to March 2000: he worked at Azienda S.V.G. Italia S.r.l. of Bologna, today known as ED&F Man Liquid Products Italia, as Quality Control Manager, responsible for producing new products in the zootechnical area
  • From April 2000 to August 2000: he participated in research activity related to quality evaluation of rabbit meat, assuming, at the same time, the role of tutoring the students at the Cesena branch of the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Bologna, under the guidance of Prof. Claudio Cavani
  • From September 2000 to November 2001: in charge of Technical Production at Azienda IZA S.r.l. in Forli where he carried out activity relative to the formulation and production of supplements for zootechnics
  • From 1 October 2002 to December 2005: he received a research grant aimed at training and professional development as part of the training plan called “Evaluation of the nitrogen emissions on livestock farms”. This grant was renewed for the years 2004 and 2005
  • 20 January 2006: he obtained the PhD degree in Food and Health from the Department of Food Sciences of the Agricultural Faculty of Marche Polytechnic University defending an experimental thesis entitled “Realization of an GMO-free diet for cows producing milk for cheese making”. Tutor: Prof. Natale Giuseppe Frega
  • From 2 October 2006: Winner of the competition, he covered the post of University Researcher of the Department of Veterinary Medical Sciences (DIMEVET) of the University of Bologna
  • From 5 May 2022: he achieved the National Scientific qualification as associate in the Italian higher education system for the disciplinary field of 07/G1 - Animal science and technology and, on 19 December 2022 he takes up service as ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR at the Department of Veterinary Medical Sciences (DIMEVET), of the University of Bologna.
