Research fellow at the University of Bologna since November 2022. Current research themes are focused on General Sociology, Health and Medicine Sociology and Criminology.
The main areas of work involve the medicalization, the prevention and care in childhood obesity, chronic and rare diseases, ageism and active ageing, victimization and digital field.
Currently, she is focusing on the in-depth study of specific research topics: (1) the social impact that childhood obesity has within families with school-age children with particular attention to the effects created by Covid-19; (2) the post mortem whole body donation in the Italian context.

Teaching Activity
Since September 2023, Adjunct Professor of Sociology of Health, Department of Humanistic Studies, University of Ferrara.
Since 2020, expert and teaching assistant for the subject Sociology of health (First level italian Master's degree in Sociology), University of Bologna e since 2018, Assistant at the Continuity University of Bologna Course Data Protection and Privacy Officer, University of Bologna.
Currently, she is teaching Digital sociology and web e social tools at the italian IFTS professional course “Tecnico per la promozione digitale del turismo esperienziale e sostenibile”, Nuovo Cescot Emilia Romagna.
In 2022 and 2023 she has taught Sociology of health and healthcare policies at the Master Executive I Livello in Project Management Sanitario, Dipartimento di Scienze Umane, Sociali e della Salute - Università degli Studi di Cassino e del Lazio meridionale.
Scientific Activity
She is involved in the national research project Gradimento del biorispetto nell'alimentazione scolastica e stili alimentari delle famiglie. Un'analisi sociologica sul territorio riminese, University of Bologna and Rimini Municipality and in the international research project Contrer l’exclusion des aînés dans les milieux ruraux. Quelles perspectives pour la participation et pour un vieillissement actif en situation de pandémie?, Université du Québec (UQAR).
