Research Activity Abroad
01/11/2024 -28/02/2025. Research activity at the Division of Veterinary Pharmacotherapy and Pharmacy, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Utrecht University.
Objective of the experience: Training in computational modeling of pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) data, as well as physiologically based kinetic and dynamic (PBPK) modeling for risk assessment.
Research project: Validation of a PK/PD model for ampicillin therapy in hospitalized foals.
Supervisor: Prof. Ronette Gehring.
01/11/2023-28/02/2024. PhD Visiting at the Department of Pharmacology, CIC-1901, Pharmacokinetics, and Therapeutic Drug Monitoring Unit, Hospital Pitié Salpêtrière, AP-HP, Sorbonne Université, Paris, France.
Objective of the experience: Exploring tips and tricks from human medicine to introduce and implement therapeutic antibiotic monitoring in veterinary clinical practices.
Research Project: Utilization of micro-sampling techniques, such as Dried Plasma Spot, for antibiotic therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) in human plasma.
Accademic experience
Since 2021, she has been assisting with laboratory work focused on students' thesis preparation and the completion of curricular internships at the Pharmacology, Toxicology, and Food Chemistry (FTCA) Unit of BSBT.
01/03/2021-31/10/22. Winner of the research scholarship entitled ‘‘Study of cell permeability following exposure to emerging mycotoxins’’ within the DIMEVET. Supervisor: Prof. Andrea Barbarossa.
