Angelo Paletta is Full Professor of Business Administration and Accounting at the University of Bologna, where he serves as Director of the Department of Management and Member of the Academic Senate. At the same university he teaches Management Control Systems and Performance Evaluation, Management Control, and Business Distress and Turnaround.
His research focuses on management in education, corporate governance and internal control systems, governance and accountability in universities, as well as the managerial challenges associated with the circular economy and sustainable development.
He is Co-Director of the Master in Public Management and Innovation at Bologna Business School (BBS).
He currently coordinates three European research projects in the field of sustainability and circular economy:

Horizon 2020 – Developing and Implementing Sustainability-Based Solutions for Bio-Based Plastic Production and Use to Preserve Land and Sea Environmental Quality in Europe;

Within the framework of Partnership 9 of the Italian National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), he coordinates the project “SDG-related curricula and graduates’ employability: Embedding the Sustainable Development Goals in management education.”
