Full Professor of Business Administration and Director of the Department of Management of the University of Bologna. In the same university teaches Management control systems and performance evaluation; Business crisis and turnaround; Public Management; Educational Leadership. As a researcher he deepened his management studies in educational systems, the corporate governance and internal controls, governance and accountability in universities, managerial challenges determined by the circular economy and sustainable development. He is co-director of the Master in "Public Management and Innovation" at Bologna Business School (BBS). He is currently the coordinator of three European projects in the field of sustainability and the circular economy: 1) Horizon 2020 "Developing and implementing sustainability-based solutions for Bio-based plastic production and use to Preserve Land and Sea Environmental Quality in Europe; 2) Horizon Europe: Towards Sustainable Land-USA Strategies in The Context of Climate Change and Biodiversity Challenges in Europe; 3) Horizon-CL4-2023-Resilience-01-21-Innovative Methods for Safety and Sustainability Assess of Chemicals and Materials (Ria). As part of Partenariate 9 of the PNRR, coordinates the "Sdg-Related Curricula and Graduates' Employability project: Embedding The Sustainable Development Goals In Teaching Matters".
