Knowledge Translation
This research line aims to optimize the transfer of research findings into clinical practice. It focuses on methods for evidence synthesis (systematic reviews, meta-analyses, network meta-analyses, and individual patient data meta-analyses) and on the development of clinical practice guidelines, using the GRADE approach, with particular emphasis on core GRADE methodology.
Areas of special interest include living meta-analyses and living guidelines, as well as the use of artificial intelligence to support these dynamic evidence processes.
Prognostic Models
This research line is dedicated to the development and dissemination of methods for the derivation and validation of prognostic models applicable to clinical medicine.
Population Pharmacokinetics
To optimize the treatment of patients with bleeding disorders, I developed WAPPS-Hemo (www.wapps-hemo.org [https://www.wapps-hemo.org] ), a web-based platform that enables clinicians to generate individual pharmacokinetic profiles and use them to personalize therapy, leading to measurable clinical and public health benefits.
The program has become the international standard of care, endorsed by clinical guidelines and used by more than 800 centers in over 90 countries.
