Full Professor (non-exclusive appointment) at the University of Bologna since July 2025.
Professor and Chair of the Department of Clinical Research Methodology, Evidence, and Impact at McMaster University, Canada.
His research interests focus on knowledge translation, prognostic modelling in clinical medicine, and the use of population pharmacokinetics to optimize the treatment of congenital bleeding disorders.
He has received competitive research grants from national and international funding agencies and maintains active collaborations with the American College of Physicians, the National Board of Medical Examiners, and EBSCO Publishing.
He is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences.
