Associate Professor of the Alma Mater Studiorum-University of Bologna from 6 May 2022. PhD in Hydraulic and Structural Engineering at the University of Bologna. The main research areas concern: numerical-hydraulic modeling for the assessment and mapping of hydraulic hazard; hydrological modeling and trend analysis of historical series; vulnerability and flood damage assessment; residual flood risk analysis and management; remote sensing techniques for hydraulic and environmental monitoring; use of satellite altimetric and radar data for hydrological-hydraulic applications and for discharge estimation; efficient use of water resources in irrigation.
Author (co-author) of more than 70 original scientific papers published as articles in national and international journals (46 of which published in journals indexed in the Web of Science-WoS- or on Scopus), conference proceedings, texts and popular publications (h-index 23; Scopus – December 2024).
