3 Postdoc positions in Cognitive Neuroscience available at the University of Bologna, Cesena Campus.
We are seeking 3 motivated and enthusiastic Postdoctoral researchers to join the Non-invasive brain stimulation (NIBS) research group at the University of Bologna, Cesena Campus. The group is led by Prof. Alessio Avenanti and it is funded by MIUR, Bial and Fondazione del Monte research grants. The group is interested in investigating the neural mechanisms underlying social, cognitive and affective processes.
The successful candidates will be responsible for conducting brain stimulation research using TMS/tES, electrophysiological (EEG, EMG, ECG, SCRs) and behavioral methods. The candidates are expected to work independently to produce research of international standard and cooperate with other members of NIBS research group and external collaborators.
Key Requirements:
The ideal candidates must have a PhD (or be in the process of completing their PhD) in a relevant subject area (e.g. neuroscience, psychology or engineering), possess excellent statistical and computer programming (i.e., Matlab) skills, and have a record of high quality publications. Strong experience with EEG is required for at least 1 position, whereas experience with brain stimulation technique is an advantage for all the positions.
Starting date: the positions are already available and expected to start within December 2019
Salary: minimum 24.000 euros/gross, but salary could vary depending on prior experience
