I have a degree in Veterinary Medicine and a PhD in Epidemiology and Zoonoses Control. A few years ago I moved to a Medical Department to carry out education initiatives, research and third mission projects on One Health.
Health is in fact a pre-condition and an indicator for achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. Humans and animals live in the same ecosystems and share natural resources, the environment, food, air and water. Many of the most important health challenges arise from the complex interactions between humans, animals and the ecosystems in which they live.
For this, my scientific interests lie in the inter and transdisciplinary approach of One Health to deepen the interactions between humans, animals and ecosystems that underlie the occurrence of health emergencies and the effective management of endemic diseases with high social economic impact.
