  • PERSONAL DATA AND ACADEMIC POSITION

    Degree with honors in Veterinary Medicine in 1990; since 1992 Technician Graduated from the Institute of Veterinary Physiology; in 1994 Ph.D. in "Physiology of Animal Reproduction" Doctoral School of the University of Sassari. From 1998 to 2000 Researcher; since 2003 Associate Professor of Veterinary Physiology (S. C.07 / H1; SSD VET / 02); based on the Cesenatico branch of the Department of Veterinary Medical Sciences, University of Bologna.

    In the 2013-14 academic year; 2018-19 I held lectures related to the physiology of Teleostei at the School of Specialty in Breeding, Hygiene, Pathology of Aquatic Species and Control of Derived Products of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Milan directed by Prof. Vittorio Moretti.

    From the 2013-14 academic year, for all the years of activation, the undersigned is responsible for the Morphophysiology and Wellness Module of the 1st level "Aquaculture and Fish Pathology" Master (UNIBO): lectures on the Physiology of teleosts.

    II level Master in Medicine, Surgery and Biology of Reproduction for the 2016-17 academic year concerning the physiology of reproduction in Teleosts.

    The undersigned has participated as a Speaker at the III scientific-technical meeting S.I.P.I. 2013 "Gill pathologies in aquaculture": Anatomy and physiology of the branchial system.

    In June 2018  scientific-technical meeting S.I.P.I. "The digestive system of fish: a multidisciplinary vision" Speaker with "Aspects of physiology of the digestive system in teleosts"

    In the years 2011, 2014, 2017 and 2020 the undersigned has been called to carry out 4 seminars concerning the Physiology of teleosts for the VET 02 SSD sector for the School of Specialization in Inspection of Food of Animal Origin, at the Department of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Sassari.

    In 2008, the undersigned was professor of the "Physiology of Fish Species" module for the Advanced Training Course on "Fisheries and Sustainable Aquaculture in the Mediterranean" 2nd edition, organized by the Bertinoro University Residential Training and Research Center, funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

    The undersigned is engaged with orientation and tutoring activities for students of the Degree Course and with research activities related to the compilation and experimental theses.

    Institutional activity

    From academic year 12-13 for a three-year course Coordinator of the Degree Course in Aquaculture and Hygiene of Fish Production, Cesenatico site (Campus of Cesena, UNIBO) where the undersigned has been incardinated since the year 2000 when she was appointed Associate Professor of the scientific sector disciplinary VET 02.

    Since 2012, for the Department of Veterinary Medical Sciences, the undersigned has been the Head of the UOS of Cesenatico (headquarters organizational unit) and a member of the Department Council and Councilor at the Cesena Campus, until May 2015.

    Until 2010 member of the Teaching Board of the PhD in Biotechnology at the University of Teramo, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

    Until 2007, the undersigned has been delegated by the Magnificent Rector to the annual assembly of shareholders who are members of the Cesenatico Marine Research Center.

    The institutional activity has actively involved the undersigned, in the DIMEVET quality project with the drafting of the management and operational procedures relating to the internal reorganization of the Physiology section within the QMS. The certification of the Quality Management System according to the UNI EN ISO 9001: 2008 standard was obtained in 2009.

  • Since May 2021 he has been scientific director of the library of the Aquaculture Degree Course.

    Scientific activity

    areas of interest:

  • correlations existing between endocrine-metabolic structure and reproductive performance in the species of zootechnical interest under different energy requirements;
  • effect of endocrine disruptions (ECDs) on the endocrine apparatus of Teleostei;
  • plant polyphenols and granulosa cell steroidogenesis;
  • administration of pituitary and / or gonadotropin extracts for the induction of gonadal maturation in Teleostei;
  • of the effect of salinity changes on the branchial and intestinal Na-dependent ATPase activity of Aphanius fasciatus.
  • evaluation of the state of gonadal maturation and gender identification in Acipenser naccarii
  • intestinal ontogenesis and larval weaning
