Research dissertations are proposed on ruined structures within Classical, Medieval, Early Modern and Contemporary archaeological contexts. The research focuses on the understanding of both the heritage asset and its landscape setting, preventive and planned conservation, risk management in relation to climate change and extreme events, and the enhancement of archaeological sites.

Particular attention is devoted to heritage enhancement, as defined by Article 6 of the Italian Cultural Heritage and Landscape Code (Legislative Decree No. 42/2004), understood as the set of activities aimed at promoting knowledge of cultural heritage and ensuring its widest possible public enjoyment, including for people with disabilities, through measures that improve both physical and cultural accessibility and support the sustainable management of heritage.
