Junior Assistant Professor at the the Computer Science and Engineering Department (DISI) of the University of Bologna.
I obtained National Scientific Qualification to the role of Associate Professor in Computer Engineering (ASN 2023-2025 sector 09/H1 II Tier, II quarter).
Research
My research activity is focused on Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence techniques on topic of Natural Language Processing (NLP). In particular, one of the my main domain of research is Argument Mining, a branch of NLP that concerns the automatic extraction of arguments from unstructured texts.
Previous research experience include the design of a ethical human-centric chatbots, automated analysis of legal texts, and application of neuro-symbolic techniques.
Teaching
I have covered the role of adjunct professor and teaching assistant in several courses, for a total amount of more than 300 hours. My experience ranges from introductory courses of the bachelor degree, such as Foundations of Computer Science, to advanced courses of the master degree, such as Natural Language Processing.
Education
I hold a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Bologna with the highest evaluation ("excellent"), a Master Degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Bologna with mark 110/110 and honors, and a Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Bologna with mark 106/110.
