Luis Alberto Barron Cedeno

Associate Professor at Università di Bologna. He worked previously at QCRI [http://www.qcri.org] and at TALP [http://www.talp.upc.edu/] . He got his PhD from Universitat Politècnica de València [http://www.upv.es/] in 2012. Alberto has been working in the intersection of various disciplines, including natural language processing, information retrieval, and machine learning. In particular, he has been working on the (cross-language) assessment of text looking at different aspects such as originality (e.g., plagiarism detection) and intent (e.g., propaganda, hate).

Since December 2023, he is Specialty Chief Editor in Natural Language Processing for Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence [https://www.frontiersin.org/journals/1437/sections/1390]
