Medical Doctor and specialist in General Surgery. Since November 2025, he has been a PhD candidate in Surgical Sciences and Innovative Technologies at the Department of Medical and Surgical Sciences (DIMEC). His clinical and research activity focuses primarily on pancreatic surgery, pancreatic adenocarcinoma, pancreatic cystic neoplasms, neuroendocrine tumors, and the application of artificial intelligence in pancreatic disease.
Education and Training
Graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” in 2019, with an experimental thesis in General Surgery entitled: “Treatment of Primary and Secondary Adrenal Disease.”
Obtained the national medical license in 2020 at the same university.
Completed the specialization in General Surgery with honors at Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna in January 2026, with an experimental thesis entitled: “Therapeutic Profile of β-Blockers in the Management of Patients Undergoing Total Pancreatectomy.”
Since November 2025, he has been a PhD candidate in Surgical Sciences and Innovative Technologies at the Department of Medical and Surgical Sciences.
Clinical Activity
He carries out clinical activity at the Pancreatic and Endocrine Surgery Unit of IRCCS Policlinico Sant’Orsola-Malpighi in Bologna (Prof. Casadei).
In 2021, he was involved in the COVID-19 vaccination campaign of the Bologna Local Health Authority (AUSL) as a physician involved in the public health emergency.
Scientific Activity
He is the author and co-author of numerous articles published in indexed international journals, with a specific focus on pancreatic surgery.
He is involved in research groups and national and international multicenter collaborations in the fields of pancreatology and oncology.
He participated in several national and international conferences as a speaker.
He is a member of the AI Task Force of the Italian Association for the Study of the Pancreas (AISP).
He is a member of the following national and international scientific societies: Italian Association for the Study of the Pancreas (AISP), Italian Society of Surgical Oncology (SICO), ITA-NET, European Pancreatic Club (EPC).
