She carries out her research mainly in the field of modern art history, characterised by an interdisciplinary approach. She is particularly interested in the study of architectural contexts, as well as iconography, over a period of time ranging from the 15th to the 18th century. In particular, she has been interested in 15th- and 16th-century Bolognese architecture. She has recently resumed her research on painted architecture in Emilia Romagna in the modern age.
