  •  Econometric study to identify the ideal tariff for mushroom picking permits in Catalonia. The student will carry out analyses of data already collected, in collaboration with the CTFC centre in Solsona, Spain.
  • Use of participatory techniques for the analysis of the cultural ecosystem value of forest ecosystems. The thesis will involve the use of participatory techniques for data collection in the field.

Multiactor apporaches and European policies (FOOD area)

  • Ex-post evaluation of the multi-actor approach implemented by projects funded by the European Horizon funding line (online interviews with coordinators and use of secondary data).

Forest bioeconomy

    • Il Labirinto della Masona (Fontanellato, PR) is a cultural park of approximately 7 hectares that houses a bamboo labyrinth. The approximately three hundred thousand plants that make it up, which are between 3 and 15 metres tall, give rise to several tons of mowing every year. The aim of this research is to investigate different paths for the energetic valorisation of the bamboo residues and their related costs, through ad-hoc market studies (Project in collaboration with Prof. Maraldi).

    Urban forestry

    • Research study to be carried out by means of interviews and questionnaires to citizens to assess the extent of urban forest cover in a district of the metropolitan city of Bologna (rule 3-30-300) and the perception of users.
